Its been a busy few weeks finishing the exhibition at Standen then couple of weeks between followed by the new show at Stanmer which was a great for the Sussex Guild and all of us members , lovely show and great venue (follow the links to see pics)
Also this month I made it to print. The Worshipful Company of Pewterers annual Pewter Review published a great article on the touchmark ceremony held at the hall in November its history and some pictures of the ceremony. This was the first ‘touchmark ceremony’ for 10 years and my stamp will now be kept with all the other pewterers going back to the 1500’s.
PEWTER: Several new pieces have been developed this month and I am really please with how they are coming along. I have a new clock, letter openers and candlesticks as well as new pewter and glass pieces. I am continuing using lava as the influence and theme for my work, trying to keep the fluidity and movement in the pieces.
Other news………… I was thrilled to hear this week that I have got a interview for the Qest (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust) to receive funding for further development of my glassblowing, so everything crossed for the interview on the 15th April!
FINALLY…………………I hope everyone has a lovely Easter and do not eat too many Easter eggs as I do every year then wish I hadn’t!
